The Instrumental Music Department at CRHS offers two Jazz Ensembles.  Membership is determined by available openings as well as individual playing level.  Each ensemble concentrates on the development of the foundations for performance in the jazz idiom.  Music styles addressed include early jazz through jazz fusion.

Both ensembles operate as graded, credited courses with performance expectations.  In addition to frequent public appearances, Jazz I presents two evening concerts in the Caesar Rodney Theater each year.  Jazz II perfoms on the final concert of the year.
