Jazz I performs for

Jazz Ensemble at CRHS is a graded, credited class.  Membership in either Jazz I or Jazz II is based upon both the instrumentation needed and student playing level. 

Jazz II is an introduction to the jazz idiom, including foundations in jazz improvisation.  Jazz II presents one evening performance each year at "Nite-o-Jazz".

Jazz I continues with education in the jazz genre at a more advanced level, and explores in-depth improvisation and jazz theory.  Jazz I presents two public concerts each year, and also accepts as many performance invitations as possible in the region. 

Both ensembles are under the direction of Mr. DuWane L. Sandlin.
