About Us
The Instrumental Music Department at Caesar Rodney High School enrolls over 200 students from the 9th through 12th grades who participate in several ensembles.




Our Philosophy of Music Education
Music is a fundamental piece of the human experience. Music Education is therefore a necessary endeavor to ensure that the whole child is being educated. This includes skill development, cognitive understanding, and aesthetic appreciation for many forms of music.

Directs the "Rider" Marching Band, Blue Band, Jazz I & II Ensembles, B³ Basketball Band, Pit Band for the Musical Productions and teaches Music Theory and Music Learning Lab.

Mr. Mark Crossley Assistant Director of Bands
Directs the "Rider" Marching Band and Gold Band, and is the 6th grade band director for Postlethwait and Fifer Middle Schools. Mr. Crossley handles instrument inventory and repair at the high school.
